<br />in the mid-1980's the District agreed 10 take on the duties associated with storm <br />water controL Additional information about the District is included below. <br /> <br />A. Type of organization and statues under which the entity was formed: The <br />District is a Colorado Special District organized and existing pursuant to the <br />provisions of the Special District Act, Title 32, eR.S, and its <br />governmental functions are subject to the revisions of Article X, Section 20, <br />of the Colorado Constitution. The District is a Quasi.Governmental body <br />and accordingly is not incorporated and does not maintain Articles of <br />Incorporation or By-laws. The District was formed in 1955 (Civil Action <br />case #55CV13027) in Weld County, Colorado, see Appendix 2. <br /> <br />B. Powers and authorities of the organization: The District maintains the <br />power and authority to administer, operate and maintain the storm water <br />collection and conveyance systems and the sanitary sewer collection, <br />conveyance and treatment system within the Existing Service Area <br />boundaries as shown on Figure 3 on the following page. The Dacono <br />Sanitation District maintains the power and authority to administer, operate <br />and maintain the sanitary sewer collection and conveyance systems <br />predominately located immediately south of the Existing Service Area <br />boundaries as shown on Figure 3.
