6.0 OTHER STUDIES

A Flood Hazard Analysis was conducted by the u.s~ Soil Conservation
Service for San Juan River and McCabe Creek in the vicinity of pagosa
Springs (Reference 8) and information of this study was made available
to the study contractor. The results in the Flood Hazard Analyses for
San Juan River and McCabe Creek are reasonable and, therefore, were
adopted for this Flood Insurance Study_

The Flood Insurance Rate Map for Archuleta County will not match that of
San Juan County, because flood boundaries were taken from the Archuleta
County Flood Hazard Boundary Map (Reference 18) and no Flood Hazard
Boundary Map has been printed for San Juan County.

This study is authoritative for the purposes of the National Flood
Insura~ce Program; data presented herein either supersede or are compatible
with all previous determinations.

7.0 LOCATION OF DATA

Survey, hydrologic, hydraulic, and other pertinent data used in this
study can be obtained by contacting the office of the Federal Insurance
Administration, Regional Director, Room 311, 909 17th Street, Denver,
Colorado, 80202.

8.0 BIBLIOGRAPHY AND REFERENCES

1.
