Late spring and summer rains are the most likely to produce <br /> <br />flooding in the study area. <br /> <br />Study Reach Description <br /> <br />This study is a supplement to the Flood Plain Management Study for Four- <br /> <br />Mile Creek and Mud Gulch at Canon City, Colorado, prepared by the USDA Natural <br /> <br />Resources Conser,ation SeI"\ices, dated June 1996. <br /> <br />The study limits for the Four-Mile Creek flood plain begins at cross section <br /> <br />700 ofthe NRCS Study and continues south from Section 310 to the confluence \\ith <br /> <br />the Arkansas River. The Mud Gulch study limits cover the channel reach from the <br /> <br />bridge at Four Mile Lane to the confluence \\ith the Arkansas River.
