The following summarizes the field review.
Selected photographs have also been included.

The Heimbaugh Creek Basin is the second largest basin in Hot Sulphur Springs (outside
of the Colorado River). The bed of Heimbaugh Creek was dry upon our visit. It includes
l. 76 square miles of drainage area and generates 120 cfs for the 100 year stonn. The
creek passes under Byers Street in a 3D-inch pipe (see photos #9-12), through a culvert
under Highway 40 (see photos #4-6), and then sheet flows (see photos #7-8) towards the
Colorado River (see photos # 1-3). Because of the lack of definition of Heimbaugh Creek
as it nears the Colorado River, there is no noticeable confluence.

Apart from the description provided in the attached hydrologic sheets which are a part of
the Floodplain Infonnation Report for Hot Sulphur Springs, the Colorado River has
various gabion rock structures embedded into the east side of the river (see photo #3).
These structures are located adjacent to the bridge which is found on the west side of Hot
Sulphur Springs.

Mr. Rickman was unavailable on the day of the field reconnaissance.
