That portiOQ of the <br />basln north of the existiQg CRI&!' RR is the subjec~ of thls stQdy. <br />. <br />Ai shown on the attached sketch, the basin is long and narrow. The <br />peak discharge from the upper basiQ wl11 reach the proposed brldge <br />at Palll!er Park Blvd wlthin 1.5 to 2 hours after the storm begll18. <br /> <br />The basln ls open grassland with gentle rolllng hllls. The averase <br /> <br />grallient over the reach of the creek ls 2%. Salls are pr~~rl1y <br /> <br />alluvlal lIilts and sands. Except for a few culveru under r0a4s, <br /> <br />there are no existlng drainage structures or storm sewers. At po,ell" <br /> <br />the area ls used primarllY for grazlll8. There are nO surface4 rQll4. <br /> <br />11l the basin except for a short stretch of Templeton Gap Road ln the <br /> <br />upper J10rthwest COnlBr. <br /> <br />ASSUMl'TIONS <br />In vlew of the largely undevelope4 COQdition of the land in this <br />drainage basln, anll the pecessity of slzlng drainage facil:1.tles for <br />long range use, It has been necessary to make certain assumptiopB <br />:rIgarlling future land \We.
