scale 1" ~ 200'. ortho photo. 2 foot contour topographic maps
which display the 100-year flood outline. The flood profile
sheets present the vertical (depth) dimension of the 100-year
flood.

The flooded area sheet (references numbers 1 of 3) present
the 100nyear floodplain from the Oxford Avenue to Littleton
Park, These flood outlines are similar to the inundation areas
as shown on the respective community flood hazard boundal:y maps

as prepared by FEMA contractors.

The flood profiles were prepared fl:om the l-lEC-2 routings of

the FEMA contractors and computation performed the CWCB for the

Arapahoe County approximate zones. The flood profiles

(references 1 of 4) present the 100nyear flood water surface

elevations and low water surface (approximate streambed) for

the study reach from Oxford Avenue to Littleton Park,

In conclusion. it is felt that while some changes have

occurred in the area this consolidation of flood insurance

study data represents the best available 100-year floodplain

information for this reach available at this time, Given the

consistency of this 100-year flood outline with the flooding

that actually occurred in 1973 it is felt that a new study

while highly desirable is not absolutely necessary prior to

construction of the South Platte Channel Project,

U'L/bj

-9-
