The IOO-year floodplain for developed conditions with the
existing Spring Creek channel (as pr~sented on Pliltes 1 through
15) ranges in width from approximatley 90 feet in channelized
reaches to approximately 1500 feet .....est of the Burlington Northern
Railroad. The three general flow conditions present in the Creek
for the IOO-year event are channelized flow, channel flow with
significant overbank flow and ponding areas. Discussion of thP58
flow conditions follows.

Several reaches of the Creek h~ve been channeli~ed in
conjunction with development projects. Within these reaches the
lOa-year flow is confined to the channel. 'rop widths a)Ce generally
less than 100 feet and velocities are ~n the 5-7 feet per second
range. These reaches are generally grasslined with a riprap-
protected low flow channel. The following reaches come under this
classification.
