This memorandum serves as a summary of the City's assumed position on the <br />designation based on discussions with local officials. <br /> <br />Ms. Tricia Solsrud, the current community development engineer, was contacted regarding the <br />designation. She did not have any problems with the designation request and would send back <br />the designation request letter. In general, the City does not allow development in the floodplain <br />and requires that all new developments conduct a drainage study which makes modifications to <br />the floodplains if necessary. <br />
