The initial power produced by the RGP was sold under a
declining block rate schedule. The composite rate was approximately
7.12 mi 11s/kWh for a load of 3,000 kW under the rate schedule,
designated R5~F1, in effect from FY 1940, to FY 1949. The rlemand and
energy components of the rate were as follows:

,
Oemand Charge:
$1.25 per kW-month.

Energy Charge:

Fi rst 50,000 kWh @ 8 mills/kWh.
Next 50,000 kWh @ 6 mi lls/kWh.
Next 200,000 kWh @ 5 mills/kWh.
Next 700,000 kWh @ 4 rni lls/kWh.
Over 1,000,000 kWh @ 3 mills/kWh.

Mi nimum Bi 11:

$1.25 per kW-month at Contract Rate of Delivery (CROD).

A rate adjustment was approved in FY 1949 based on FY 1947
repayment studies. This new rate schedule was in effect from May 1,
1949, to April 1, 1974. This schedule was designated R5-F2 with a
composite rate of 6.64 mills/kWh. The components of the rate were as
followS:

Demand Charge:

$1.00 per kW-month.

Energy Charge:

4.5 mills/kWh for the first 250 kWh/kW.
4.0 mi lls/kWh over 250 kWh/kW.

Mi nimum Bi 11:

$1.00 per kW-month at CROO.

Repayment studies prepared for FY 1972 indicated a composite
rate of 15 mills was needed for RGP payout. However, to be
competitive with other rates in the RGP area, the rate was increased
in April 1974 to 8.15 mills/kWh. The rate schedule was designated
SW-F1 and included the following components:

Demand Charge:

$1.55 per kW-month.

6
