The purpose of this study was to identify the ul tima te condi tions 2-, 5-,
10- and 100-year flood discharges and the 100-year floodplains on Big Dry
Creek and its principal tributaries within the corporate limits of the
City of Westminster and adjacent areas in unincorporated Adams and Jeffer-
son Counties, Colorado. This report was prepared for the guidance of
local officials in floodplain management planning and to promote awareness
of the general public of potential flood prone areas. This Flood Hazard
Area Delineation Report will be used in conjunction with the Outfall
Systems Study, Big Dry Creek (ADCO), Westminster and Vicinity prepared for
the Urban Drainage and Flood Conttol District and the City of Westminster
by Muller Engineering Company, Inc.
