SECTION - I
SCOPE OF SERVICES

The Scope of Services outlined in this section of the proposal is essentially that provided by CWCB and
the City of Sterling. The subject services will be performed taking into consideration the applicable State
and federal requirements as outlined in the RFP.

1. Provide a review summary and a report for all of the previous relevant smdies.

Evaluate the "best use" of the Northwestern Detention Pond proposal.

Implement Multi-Objective planning principles in the project formulation phase of the contract.

Consider the incorporation of a trail system into the Tmal project design.

Communicate with the railroads, CDOT, and Logan County regarding project recommendations.

Obtain roadway and railroad grade profiles for use in project recommendations.

Provide the City with the preliminary mapping and survey needs which will be addressed by "Change
Order" .

List the project benefits (primary and secondary) for the "selected project" recommendations or
combination thereof.

11.

Estimate construction schedules and implementation times for each basin "selected plan-of-
improvement" .

12.

Determine the residual lOG-year floodplain for each basin "selected plan-of-improvement".

13.

Prepare conceptual design drawings and feature locations for each basin "selected plan-of-
improvementll .

14. Prepare cost estimates for each basin "selected plan-of-improvement".

15.

Prepare a final report using 8'h" x 11" format with half-size 11" x 17" plates.

16.

Provide one set of full-size engineering mylar drawings.

17.

Provide one set of 3.5" computer diskettes containing copies of all study files including reports,
spreadsheets. hydraulic models, drawings, and other backup data.

18.

Consider additional professional services by "change order" under the contracted hourly fee schedule.

The proposed work outlined above will achieve the project objectives. However, a refinement of the scope
of services and its finalization is needed prior to executing an agreement for the said consulting services. The
order in which these tasks will be performed does not necessarily follow the order in which they are listed
above. In our plan of approach, detailed in Section - II of this proposal, the tasks will be performed in an
order that will achieve project objectives and allows for efficient execution of interdependent work tasks.
