In a letter dated November 13, 2002, Ms, Kristy McGovern, Project Manager, Water & Waste
Engineering, Inc., requested that FEMA revise the FIRM and FIS report to show the effects of a revised
hydraulic analysis for Clear Creek from approximately 3,300 feet downstream of Pecos Street to the
Colorado & Southern Railroad. The revised hydraulic analysis included the effects of updated topographic
data, the new Pecos Street bridge that replaced the previous bridge at Pecos Street, the Interstate
Highway 76 embankment on the south side of Clear Creek, and the widening of the Clear Creek channel
upstream and downstream of the new Pecos Street bridge. This request follows up on a Conditional Letter
of Map Revision issued on December 14, 2000.

All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with letters from Ms. McGovern.

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM and
in the effective FIS report. We have revised the FIRM and FIS report to modifY the elevations, floodplain
and floodway boundary delineations, and zone designations of the flood having a I-percent chance of .
being equaled or exceeded in any given year (base flood) along the Tevised reach of Clear Creek, As a
result of the modifications, the Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) for Clear Creek and the width of the Special
Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), the area that would be inundated by the base flood, increased in some areas
and decreased in other areas. As part of this request, a regulatory floodway was developed along the
revised reach of Clear Creek. The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copies of FIRM
Panels 08001 C0309 G, 08001C0320 G, 08001 C0330 G, and 08001C0340 G; PTofile Panels 37P and 38P;
and affected portions of the Floodway Data Table. This Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby revises
the above-referenced panels of the effective FIRM and the affected portions ofthe FIS report, both dated
August 16, 1995.

The modifications are effective as ofthe date shown above. The map panels as listed above and as
modified by this letter will be used for all flood insurance policies and renewals issued for your
community,
