~...:- ,0 (~\ .~:'..-;' No. 58 ') COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD 102 Columbine Building ,1845 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado ,80203 March 17, 1976 R g SOL UTI 0 N WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood , Hazard Area Delineation, Second Creek and Third Creek, " date~ February, 1970. and covering areas of Adams County. has been prepared 'by Gingery Associates,'Inc" at the request of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District and the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and WHEREAS, said ,report describes and outlines the floodplain data and, information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels or basins of the study area; and , , WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board, to designate and approve the floodplain area as set forth in the aforesaid report; and' WHEREAS. Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, requires t,he Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom;, and ). , ' ' , , WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris- dictions may provide zoning regu1ations'for land uses on or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation. and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and , WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes 1973 directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and,to make such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and ' , WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado WaterConservatibn Board that the Board designate and approve ,as floodplain areas those areas inundated by a 100-year, flood (intermediate-regional flood) as described by the floodwater surface elevations tandprofiles in said report; :' --~---~ -~-- -- ------ ----------- _____~___~__ -------N0W,--THEREFORE;~-BE.ITRES6LVfD-1:>y the Colorado Water Conser"; , vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, this ' 17th day bf March., 1976 that it does hereby designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being inundated by a IOO-year flood as set, forth in said report for the floodplain conditions existing at the time of the study; and
