S. Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, has <br />completed for the Denver Metropolitan Region, Flood Plain Information <br />Report Volume VI, Goldsmith Gulch, Dutch Creek,Lilley Gulch and Coon <br />Creek, dated October 1971; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Flood Plain Information Report, outlines and <br />describes the flood water runoff channels within the above described <br />areas;. and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 149-1-11(4), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1963, requires that the Colo~udo Water Conservation Board designate <br />and approve storm or flood water runoff channels and. to make such <br />designation available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 139-60-1. Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, <br />provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm or flood <br />water runoff channel only after designation and approval by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Denver Regional Council of Governments has <br />requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve the flood hazard areas as set forth in the aforesaid U. S. <br />Corps of Engineers Flood Plain Infol-mation Report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said Flood <br />Plain Information Report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that said Board designate and approve as <br />flood hazard areas those areas set forth in the report as being <br />subject to an intermediate regional flood; <br /> <br />NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado this <br />- ------ -15th-day--o f--December-,--l-9'7-l-, -that - it--does- hereby-de s igna te-and-approve <br />as flood hazard areas those areas described as being inundated by an <br />intermediate regional flood as set forth in the Flood Plain Informa- <br />tion Report for Goldsmith Gulch, Dutch Creek, Lilley Gulch and. Coon <br />Creek, all contained in Volume VI, Den~er Metropolitan Region, <br />Colorado, dated October 1971; and <br />
