5.4 Flood Insurance Rate Map Description

The Flood Insurance Rate Map for the Town of Frisco is, for insurance
purposes, the principal result of the Flood Insurance Study. This
map (published separately) contains the official delineation of
flood insurance zones and base flood elevation lines. Base flood
elevation lines show the locations of the expected whole-foot
water-surface elevations of the base (lOa-year) flood. This map
is developed in accordance with the latest flood insurance map
preparation guidelines published by the Federal Insurance Administra-
tion.

6.0 OTHER STUDIES

A drainage study for Meadow Creek subdivision prepared by Donald Souther-
land Associates, Inc., was the only study found to exist at the time of
this report (Reference 13). The drainage study is in general agreement
with this Flood Insurance Study.

A Flood Hazard Boundary Map for Frisco was published in 1976 (Reference 11).
Boundary corrections have been made in this study for Jug Creek from
the above-mentioned drainage study for Meadow Creek subdivision. All
other boundaries on the Flood Hazard Boundary Map are in general agree-
ment with the Flood Insurance Rate Map.

This study is authoritative for the purposes of the National Flood
Insurance Program; data presented herein either supersede or are
compatible with all previous determinations.

7.0 LOCATION OF DATA

Survey, hydrologic, hydraulic, and other pertinent data used in this
study can be obtained by contacting the office ,of the Federal Insurance
Administration, Regional Director, Building 710, Denver Federal Center,
Lakewood, Colorado 80225.

8.0 BIBLIOGRAPHY AND REFERENCES

1.
