<br />FLOOD HAZARD MITIGATION STUDY <br />PLATTE CENTER, NEBRASKA <br /> <br />RAINFALL DATA <br /> <br />The Department of Agricultural Meteorology of the University of <br /> <br /> <br />Nebraska at Lincoln operates a recording weather station at Tarnov. <br /> <br /> <br />Tarnov is located near the ~enter of Elm Creek Yatershed. <br /> <br /> <br />Additionally, the National Weather Service operates a recording rain <br /> <br /> <br />gage at Creston. Creston is about 7 miles northea~t of the watershed. <br /> <br /> <br />The two station records are consistent, both in :~torm totals and in <br /> <br /> <br />the hourly rainfall distribution.
