6.0 OTHER STUDIES

A Flood Plain Information report was prepared for the Colorado Water
Conservation Board in 1975 (Reference 8). The IOO-year flood plain
boundary delineated in that report was used for the approximate study of
French Gulch.

Maps of the lOO-year flood plain of the Snake River were prepared in 1972
(Reference 29). Since the production of the maps, there have been changes
in the overbank topography and the channel due to development in the
area. As a result, new topographic maps were prepared and used in deline-
ating flood boundaries and floodways in this study.

A report on Blue River Flood Plain Delineation was prepared in 1976
(Reference 13). The IOO-year flood discharges listed in that report were
not used in determining the extent of flooding along Blue River for the
Summit County Flood Insurance Study. Discharqes used were taken from a
revised hydrologic analysis completed in 1978 by the study contractor
(Reference 10).

Flood Insurance Studies have been prepared for the Towns of Frisco,
Breckenridge, and Silverthorne. Data in this study match the data in the
studies for those communities (References 30, 31, and 9, respectively).

The present study is in general agreement with the previously published
Flood Hazard Boundary Map for summit County (Reference 28).

This study is authoritative for the purposes of the National Flood
Insurance Program; data presented herein either supersede or are com-
patible with all previous determinations.

7.0 LOCATION OF DATA

Information concerning the pertinent data used in the preparation of
this study can be obtained by conta:tin; the Federal Emergency
Management Agency, Mitigation Division, Denver Federal Center,
Building 710, Box 25267, Denver, Colorado 80225-0267.

8.0 BIBLIOGRAPHY AND REFERENCES

1.
