<br />INVITATION FOR BIDS

<br />Date: November 8, 1993

<br />Sealed proposals for the COAL CREEK FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT AT ERIE, COLORADO will be
<br />received at the office of the Town of Erie, P.O, Box 100, 645 Holbrook, Erie, Colorado, 80516, until 10 a,m,
<br />local time on the 2nd of December, 1993 and will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10,15 a.m. local time
<br />on the above stated date, Contract documents, complete with construction drawings and specifications, will
<br />be available after November 9, 1993, at WRC Engineering, Inc., Suite 500, 1660 South Albion Street,
<br />Denver, Colorado 80222 at a cost of $30.00 per set (not refundable), Contract documents will be mailed to
<br />bidders upon receipt of a check, by WRC Engineering, Inc., in the amount of $35,00 (not refundable, contract
<br />document cost.plus $5,00 for mailing). Plans and specifications will be on file for public examination in the
<br />plan room of the Daily Journal, 101 University Boulevard, Suite 260, Denver, Colorado, 80206, and at the
<br />office of WRC Engineering, Inc, after November 9, 1993,

<br />A pre-bid conference will be held at the office of the Town of Erie on November 22, 1993, at lOa, m" local
<br />time,

<br />No bidder prequaiification is required for this project; provided, however, upon evaluation of bids the
<br />apparent low bidder must be prepared to demonstrate his qualifications by submitting evidence to the OWNER
<br />such as financial data, previous experience, authority to conduct business in the jurisdiction where the project
<br />is located, and other requiremems as Illay be specified in the Contract Documents.
<br />
<br />Only a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5 %) of the bid will serve
<br />as an acceptable proposal guarantee.
<br />
<br />As its best interests Illay appear, the OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive
<br />informalities in bid proposals,

<br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF WORK

<br />The project consists of construction of approximately 4,600-linear feet (1f) of channel improvements, 2,200-lf
<br />of levee improvements including approximately 62,000 cubic yards (CY) of unclassified excavation, 18,000
<br />CY of embankment construction and construction of a low flow crossing,
<br />
