I <br />I <br /> <br />PRO STATEMENTS: <br /> <br />o Applicant strives to keep administrative costs as low as possible to maximize . <br />project impact. <br /> <br />o Removal of architectural barriers has been an underserved activity. Affordable, <br />accessible housing is very limited for handicapped persons. Of the requests for <br />ABR assistance received by the county human services agency over the past 3 <br />years, 97 requests were denied because of lack of funds. <br /> <br />o When the cost of rehab and ABR work exceeds $2,000, the necessary funds will be <br />provided in the form of a deferred loan with a 5-year lien. <br /> <br />CON STATEMENTS: <br /> <br />o To date, no definitive data has been generated on accomplishments of pilot <br />program funded with $35,000 1984 CDBG grant and $32,000 State housing grant <br />funds. Start-up time has been longer than anticipated. Eight homes have been packaged for bid. <br /> <br />2. Packages will be put out to bid upon completion of homeowner rehabilitation <br />contract by county. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />3.
