<br />,,\/ <br />'v. <br />FPR 206 V <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Cent~nnial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, ColOrado 80203 <br /> <br />January 7, 1983 <br /> <br />R E, SO, L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain infOrmation report entitled "Master <br />Drainageway Planning Study, Fossil Creek Drainage Basin, Fort <br />Collins, Larimer County, Colorado," dated August, 1982, has <br />been prepared by Simons, Li & AS~ociates, Inc.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report descrtbes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the stOtm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Larimer County <br />and,the City of Fort Collins h~ve requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas <br />\ as set forth in the aforesaid reJ;lort: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />1973, requires <br />the prevention <br /> <br />Section 37-60-106( 1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />the Colorado' watet' Conservation Board to assist in <br />of floods and flo~d damages therefrom: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that Slich legislative bodies' of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater r4noff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runof f channels or bas ins and to <br />make such designations availabl~ to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the C~lorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and aJ;lprove as floodplain areas those <br />areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) <br />as described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in <br />said report; <br /> <br />128 <br />res (206) <br />
