Base <br />flood elevation lines show the locations of the expected whole- <br />foot water-surface elevations of the base (lOa-year) flood. This <br />map is developed in accordance with the latest flood insurance <br />map preparation guidelines published by the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency. <br /> <br />6.0 OTHER STUDIES <br /> <br />A flood hazard report for Clear Creek, prepared by Gingery and Associates, <br />Inc., in November 1979 (Reference 17), delineates the lOa-year flood <br />boundaries and provides water-surface profiles for the 10- and lOa-year <br />floods. That report was used for this study, with modifications made in <br />a few areas. The results of this study agree with that report, except <br />for those areas. <br /> <br />26 <br />
