WHEREAS, the U. S. Corps of Engineers, Omaha District,
has completed for the City of Boulder, Colorado, Special Flood Hazard
Information Report, Boulder Creek, City of Boulder, Colorado, dated
May 1972; and

WHEREAS, said Special Flood Hazard Information Report outlines
and describes the flood water runoff channels within the above described
areas; and

WHEREAS, Article 149-1~11(4), Colorado Revised Statutes 1963,
requires that the Colorado Water Conservation Board designate and
approve storm or flood water runoff channels and to make such designation
available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and

WHEREAS, Article 139-60-1, Colorado Revised Statutes 1963,
provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and local .juris-
dictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm or flood water
runoff channel'onlyafter designation and approval by the Colorado Water
Conservation Board; and

WHEREAS, the City of Boulder, Colorado, has requested the
Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the flood
hazard areas as set forth in the aforesaid U. S. Corps of Engineers
Special Flood Hazard Information Report; and

WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed the said Special
Flood Hazard Information Report and does hereby recommend to the
Colorado Water Conservation Board that said Board designate and approve
as flood hazard areas those areas set forth in the report as being
subject to an intermediate regional flood;

this 16th day of August. 1972, that it does hereby designate and
approve as flood hazard areas those areas shown and described as being

Flood Hazard Information Report for Boulder Creek, Boulder, Colorado,
dated May 1972; and'
