<br />TABLE 4 <br /> <br />Approximate Information Which Is Consistent With. <br />Previously DesilIDated Detailed Information <br /> <br />Fountain Creek from the City of Pueblo corporate limits upstream to the PueblolEl Paso County <br />Line; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report dated September 29, 1989 includes approximate floodplain <br />information, for unincorporated areas of Pueblo County as they were on September 29, 1989, <br />which has not previously been designated and approved by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board for the storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins, as listed in Table I; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the hydrology information for the approximate floodplains for streams in <br />said new report with included mapping has been- estimated in accordance with the Guidelines <br />for Determining lOO-Year Flood Flowsfor Approximate Floodplains; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, portions of Pueblo County lie within Arkansas River Basin Subregions <br />Ark-I, Ark-3, Ark-4b, and Ark-6, as set forth in the Guidelines for Determining lOO-Year <br />Flood Flows for Approximate Floodplains; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Figure I in the Hydrology Addendum for Approximate Floodplains <br />attached to said new report displays the boundaries between Arkansas River Basin Subregions <br />Ark-I, Ark-3, Ark-4b, and Ark-6; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the lOO-year flow for each of said streams, which have drainage areas that <br />fall within the specified regression equation criteria, is estimated by utilizing one of the <br />appropriate regression equations for Arkansas River Basin Subregions Ark-I, Ark-3, Ark-4b, <br />and Ark-6, as defined in the Guidelines for Determining lOO.Year Flood Flows for <br />Approximate Floodplains, and the appropriate regression equation will be determined <br />according to the stream reach on a case by case basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the use of the U.S. Geological Survey publication, Techniques For <br />Estinuzting Regional Flood Characteristics of Small Rural Watersheds in the Plains Region <br />of Eastern Colorado, for stream reaches with drainage basins less than 25 square miles but <br />greater than one-half (0.5) square mile, for Arkansas River Basin Subregion Ark-I, was <br />endorsed by the Guidelines for Determining lOO-Year Flood Flows for Approximate <br />Floodplains; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a procedure for determining hydrology information in Pueblo County for <br />approximate floodplains of streams with drainage areas that fall outside of the specified criteria, <br />lakes, ponds, and local drainage areas has not been established by the Guidelines for <br />Determining lOO-year Flows for Approximate Floodplains; and <br /> <br />5 <br />
