Sawmill Station Associates with much interest since the issuance of the Cease
and Desist Order of December19,1979. . We are pleased that the Corps of Engineers.
has solicited our views on the construction activities in the Blue River Channel _

The subject property currently being developed is the second filing in Sawmill
Station Square, a Planned Unit Development (P.U.D.) approved by the Town of
Breckenridge in spring of 1978. The first development in Sawmill Station Square
was the new Breckenridge ~~wn Hall, completed in May 1979. Sawmill Station
Associates received final approval for development of a 19,OOO square foot office
building, a river crossing (open bridge), and surface parking lot on the east
side of the Blue River in l~arch1979, however several unique problems were debated
by the Town from ApriJ to .June1979... These areas of concern were as follows:

bank of the Blue River).'

3. The Town requested the separation between the office complex
and Town. ~all be maintained at thirty (30) feet. The pedes-
trian-way by the river bank was eliminated and focus was ~
directed to place lighting, landscaping, and pedestrian
improvements between the two buildings.

4. Lastly, the architect and civil engineer did not perfonn a
new site invE!stigation to establish true horizontal and
vertical control data. They relied however on outdated
infonnation, and the Blue River Channel modification
