u

The frequency data may correspond directly to damage data (OG card),
correspond to stages (SF card) and then stage_(SD) - damage (DG) data,
or correspond to flows (QF card) then either flow (QD) - damage (DG) data
or stage (SQ) - flow (QS) data and stage (SO) - damage (DG) data.

Damage data for several input events, based on either stages or
flows, may be computed by preceding the number of values (NFRQ) with a
minus sign. The expected annual damage routines are then bypassed.

QF: Flow-Frequency Data. When expected annual damage is to be
computed and the available input is flow-frequency data, this card is
used to input the flows which wi 11 correspond to the frequency val ues on
the FR card. Several sets of QF cards may be input, each referenced to
a different input data year. If no input data year is found, the same
flow-frequency data will be used for each subsequent plan until another
QF card is input. If NFRQ on the FR card is negative, then the values on
this card represent flows for which damage is to be computed.

SF: Stage-Freguency Data. This card is used when the known relation
is a stage-frequency curve and wou1d'be'used instead of a QF card. This
card may be used in the same manner as the QF card (see above description
of use).

S9-QS: Stage-Flow Data. These cards must be input when the rating
curve 1S necessary to the analysis. For example, if the known relationships
are a flow-frequency curve and a stage-damage relation, then the rating
curve must be input to link the frequencies with the damage data. Several
sets of QS cards may be input if the stage-flow relation is expected to
change with time (input data years). Also, the stage-flow relation may
change with different flood plain management plans.

SO: Stage-Damage Data. This card is used when the available input
is in the form of stage-damage relations. The damage data on the DG card
will correspond to each stage input on this card. If data for several
damage categories are being input, a set of SD-DG cards is required for
each.

QD: Flow-Damage Data. This card is used when the available input
is in the form of flow-damage relations, and would be used instead of an
SO card. If data for several damage categories are being input, a set
of QD-DG cards is required for each.

DG: Damage Data. This card is used to input the damage values which
may be associated with frequencies (FR card), stages (SO card) or flows
(QD card). The input damage data relate to a particular damage category
and sets of SD-DG or QD-DG cards are required for each damage category.
The damage data may also be referenced to specific input data years and
plans.

15
