Newlin Gulch, <br />Baldwin Gulch, Sulphur Gulch and Tallman Gulch) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board has previously authorized the Executive Director to <br /> <br />execute an agreement with a consulting engineer for the completion of a Flood <br /> <br />Hazard Area Del ineation Report for Happy Canyon Creek. Badger Gulch, Newlin <br /> <br />Gulch. Baldwin Gulch, Sulph~r Gulch and Tallman Gulch (Resolution No. 29, <br /> <br />Series of 1975); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Executive Director has executed a contract with Howard, <br /> <br /> <br />Needles, Tammen and Bergendoff for such a Flood Hazard Area Delineation study; <br /> <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board has previously indicated its desire that the results <br /> <br /> <br />of such studies be provided to the local governments so as to assist local <br /> <br />governments in meeting the requirements of HB 1041; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br /> <br />1. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control <br /> <br /> <br />District accept the report (Flood Hazard Area Delineation. Happy <br /> <br /> <br />Canyon Creek. Badger Gulch. Newlin Gulch, Baldwin Gulch. Sulphur <br /> <br /> <br />Gulch and Tallman Gulch. November. 1977) and recommend its use <br /> <br />as a guide in future planning related to these tributaries. <br /> <br />2. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control <br /> <br /> <br />District recommend that Douglas County and Arapahoe County adopt <br /> <br /> <br />the report and regulate the 100-year flood plain defined in the <br /> <br />report; and <br /> <br />3. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control <br /> <br /> <br />District submit the report for designation and approval by the <br /> <br /> <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board as stated in Section 37-60-106 <br /> <br />(l)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, 1973, as flood hazard areas, <br /> <br />those areas described in the report as being inundated by the <br /> <br />IOO-year <br />DATED this <br /> <br />flood. <br />/S-c-L <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />(' , <br />I,;J. -lOA 1ft.<) <br /> <br />, 1977. <br />
