indicated two areas (less than 2 ac~es) where inundation would occur
that were not indicated by the previous study.

study results were compared to-an unpublished report produced for the
developer of the Maryvale property on the lower Fraser River north of
town (Reference 14). The report was not available in its entirety, only
a map showing the flood boundary. ~he current study indicated a flood
plain that is significantly wider in all cases than the previous study.
Due to the unavailability of the re~rt from the previous study, no
comparison of data or methodologiesjcould be made. A site visit in the
spring of 1983 during high-flow con~itions (about the 50-year event)
indicated water beyond the flood plain indicated by the previous study,
but within the flood plain indicated by the current study.

7.0 LOCATION OF DATA

Information concerning the pertinent data used in the preparation of
this study can be obtained by contacting the Natural and Technological
Hazards Division, FEMA, Building 71Q, Denver Federal Center, Lakewood,
Colorado 80225.

8.0 BIBLIOGRAPHY AND REFERENCES

1.
