McDonald, Director <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 823 <br />Denver, Colorado 80202 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. McDonald: <br /> <br />CONSERVATION <br /> <br />BOARD~ ~ <br />'f>1I <br />qO/ 1 ./ frJ <br />6',2- <br /> <br />We are enclosing with this letter a copy of our notification to the Chief <br />Executive Officer of the City of Monte Vista, CO that the 90-day appeal <br />period required under the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (P.L. <br />90-448), Title XIII, Section 1363 will commence on or about May 27, 1981 <br />Since it is possible that your state owns and maintains property in this com- <br />munity, we are also informing you of the start of the appeal period. The <br />State's right of appeal and procedure for submitting an appeal is the same <br />as the community's and these rights and procedures are explained in the enclosure. <br /> <br />On April 16, 1981 a final community coordination meeting was held and <br />prior to that meeting your office was provided copies of the preliminary Flood <br />Insurance Study and FlOOd Insurance Rate Map. Those materials have been used <br />to draft the notice of proposed base flood elevations (copy enclosed). As <br />explained in our letter to the City of Monte Vista, Colorado the second <br />publication of this notice in the local newspaper will commence the 90-day <br />appeal period. The notice will also be published in the Federal Register. <br /> <br />Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions concerning <br />this matter.
