<br />In a previous report "LITTLE THOMPSON BASIN - RURAL <br />CLEAN WATER PROGRAM APPLICATION - July 1979," Best <br />Management Practices were identified that would reduce salt <br />and sediment loading of the Little Thompson River. The <br />CssCB wi II be the administering agency, with a project <br />office located in the basin. The CssCB wi I I be working <br />closely with the 7-man Local Rural Clean Water Coordinating <br />Committee, SCS, Larimer-Weld Regional Counci I of <br />Governments, Soil Conservation Districts and AsCs. Larimer <br />and Weld Counties have been designated 208 management <br />agencies and wi I I play an important role throughout the <br />project period. <br /> <br />8. In the early 1960's an Agricultural <br />Conservation Program (ACP) was available to provide <br />financial and technical assistance to landowners who appl ied <br />treatment to streambank erosion problems. This app~oach <br />might be possible again.
