The following
topics were discussed.

The current limits of the detailed FEMA stUdy/mapping were confirnIed. The limits extend
along Box Elder Creek from approximately 3 miles south ofI-70 to approximately r-70, in.
Adams County. Tne UDFCD floodplain mapping to be prepared in the current study will be
for Coyote Run.

A step-wise approach for FEJ.'vlA submittals v,-as discussed. First, a hydrology submittal will
be made. After obtaining FEMA approval of the hydrology, mapping could be submitted,
first for Coyote Run, since Coyote Run would be mapped as part of the current UDFCD
study, and then later for Box Elder Creek. This approach was agreed to by the parties.

John Liou stated that if development occurs in the floodplain, the developer would need a
LOMR based on the UDFCD hydrology. He acknowledged that It may be difficult to match
existing floodplain limits.

Possible funding and timing for detailed floodplain mapping on Box Elder Creek was
discussed. UDFCD staff considered ways to pursue this mapping: effort so that mapping on
Box Elder could ultimately be submitted to ffi'vlA..

foma.mtg

r
I
I
I
I
II
I
I
I
II
I
I
I
I
II
II
II
II
II
