Colorado," <br />dated November, ,1977, has been prepared by the united states Army <br />Corps of Engineers, Sacramento pistrict, at the request of the city <br />of Craig and Moffat county; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels ' <br />or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city of craig and Moffat County have requested <br />the Colorado Water Conservation ~oard to designate and apprOve the <br />floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60--106 (1), Colorado Revised statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Wate~' Conservation Board to as,sist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and ' <br /> <br />, <br />) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111,Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bOdies of local juris- <br />dictions may provide zoning regulations fOr land uses on or along any <br />storm or floodwater runoff channell or basin only after designation <br />and approval by the Colorado WatElr Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60..-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm Or floodwater'runoff channels or basins and to make <br />such designations available to legislative bodies of localjurisdic- <br />tions; and <br /> <br />, ' , <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />apd does hereby reconunend to the ColoradO'-Water. Ccnservatior-l BOard <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas <br />inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as <br />described by the floodwater surface elevations and prOfiles in said <br />report; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEP by the Colorado Water <br />conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, COlorado, <br />this 1st day of November, 1978, that it does hereby designate and <br />approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being inundated <br />by a 100-year flood as described by the floodwater surface eleva- <br />tions and ,prOfiles in said report; and <br />
