No. 143 <br /> <br />'.,..,. <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />I <br />/ <br />/ <br />I <br /> <br />May 18, 1979 <br /> <br />R <br /> <br />E <br /> <br />s <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />L <br /> <br />U <br /> <br />T <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br />Hazard Area Delineation, Marston Lake North," dated February, 1979, <br />has been prepared by Camp Dresser & McKee, Inc" at ,the request of <br />the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, the City and County <br />of Denver, and the Denver Water Department; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District <br />has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid <br />report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, colorado Revised <br />statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris- <br />dictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along <br />any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after desig- <br />nation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />~mER&~S, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas <br />inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as <br />described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in <br />said report; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Grand Junction, <br />Colorado, this 18th day of May, 1979, that it does hereby designate <br />and approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being <br />inundated by a 100-year flood as described by the floodwater <br />surface elevations and profiles in said report; and <br />
