(Hydraulics), ColoradoStote University, Colorado, 1971. <br /> <br />EXPERIENCE (1955 to date) <br /> <br />Senior Civil Engineer, Engineering Consultants, Inc. (1974-1971). Associated with the <br />hydraulic designs and hydrological studies in the Denver office. Assigned to work in the <br />Adana, Turkey office on the Seyhan Irrigation and Drainage Project. Was responsible for <br />the design of irrigation and drainage conals and structures as Chief Design Engineer. Pre- <br />pared development and feasibility report for low lying areas of the project along the <br />Mediterranean coast, which required additional drainage efforts. Conducted special <br />hydrological studies and designs on the development and rehabilitation of Saricam Creek <br />in Turkey. <br /> <br />Senior Engineer - Executive Engineer, West Pakistan Irrigation and West Pakistan Water <br />and Power Development Authority (1970-1963). Was actively involved in the design and <br />review of consultants' designs for link canals under the Indus Basin Project inWest Pakistan. <br />Responsible for the hydrological studies, design and remodelling of Trimmu Barrage (designed <br />copacity - 650,000 cfs) in the Indus Basin. Additional duties included financial control <br />and contract management of the link canals construction involving international bidding <br />and loco I and foreign controctors. <br /> <br />Responsible for the design and construction of training and protection works on River <br />Chenab (four months monsoon flows range from 100,000 to over 700,000 cfs). <br /> <br />Assistant Engineer, West Pokiston Irrigation and West Pakistan Water and Power Develop- <br />ment Authority (1962-1955). Responsible for the regulation, operation ond maintenance of <br />irrigation systems, in sub-divisions of up to 250,000 acres in West Pakistan. Duties included <br />design of irrigation structures, maintenance of canals and distribution network, Financial <br />control, planning and distribution of irrigation supplies and assessment of revenue. Designed <br />special sediment exclusion devices on irrigation channels of Sidhnai Canals system. <br /> <br />Awards: Gold Medal by the West Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority for <br />work on Indus Basin Project; Recognition of meritorious services by the West Pakistan <br />Water and Power Development Authority for the design and construction of river training <br />works in Pakistan; and Recognition of services by the Turkish State Water Works Deport- <br />ment for work done on the Seyhan Irrigation and Drainage Project. <br /> <br />Publications: Analysis of Sediment Sorting in Alluvial Channels - Journal of Hydraulic <br />Division of ASCE. <br /> <br />Member: American Society of Civil Engineers and Institute of Engineers, Pakistan. <br /> <br />~:ib <br />
