The <br />maximum decreases in SFHA and floodway widths, approximately 180 feet, occurred approximately <br />2,700 feet upstream of Frontage Road, In addition, the SFHA and floodway boundary delineations shifted <br />southwest a maximum of 100 feet approximately 1.350 feet upstream of Frontage Road. The increases <br />in the widths and the shifts in the boundary delineations of the SFHA and floodway are contained on <br />property owned by the Town of Castle Rock. No structures are affected. <br /> <br />Although the effective FIRM shows a portion of the revised reach to be within the unincorporated areas <br />of Douglas County, Colorado, the entire area affected by this revision is now within the corporate limits <br />of the Town of Castle Rock because of annexation. <br /> <br />The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copies of FIRM Panel 0188 C, Profile Panels 35P <br />through 39P, and the Floodway Data Table for Hangmans Gulch, This LOMR hereby revises this panel <br />of the effective FIRM and the Flood Profiles and Floodway Data Table in the FIS report, both dated <br />September 30, 1987. The length of the channel decreased along the revised reach as a result of the <br />improvements. Revised Profile Panels 35P through 39P replace Profile Panels 35P through 40P in the <br />effective FIS report. Any request for reconsideration must <br />be based on scientific or technical data. In addition, a notice of changes will be published in the Federal <br />Relrister. <br /> <br />Because this LOMR will not be printed and distributed to primary users, such as local insurance agents <br />and mortgage lenders, your community will serve as a repository for these new data, We encourage you <br />to disseminate the information reflected by this LOMR throughout the community, so that interested <br />persons. such as property owners, local insurance agents, and mortgage lenders. may benefit from the <br />information. We also encourage you to prepare a related article for publication in your community's local <br />newspaper. This article should describe the assistance that officials of your community will give to <br />interested persons by providing these data and interpreting the NFIP maps. <br /> <br />The revisions are effective as of the date of this letter; however. within 90 days of the second publication <br />in the Doulrlas Countv News Press, a citizen may request that FEMA reconsider the determination made <br />by this LOMR. Any request for reconsideration must be based on scientific or technical data. All <br />interested parties are on notice that, until the 90-day period elapses. the determination to modify the BFEs <br />presented in this LOMR may itself be modified. <br />
