<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District,
<br />completed a floodplain information report entitled. "Flood Plain
<br />Information, Metropolitan Region, Denver, Colorado, Voll.lllle I
<br />Summary Report, South Platte River, Waterton to Brighton,
<br />Colorado", dated October, 1963;
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the U.S. .Army Corps of Engineers, omaha District.
<br />completed a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Plain
<br />Information, Metropolitan Region, Denver, Colorado, Volume VI
<br />Goldsmith Gulch, Dutch Creek, Lilley Gulch and Coon Creek," dated
<br />October 1971; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the historic significance of the first-mentioned
<br />report can be measured by the fact that it was the first floodplain
<br />information report prepared for the State of Colorado' that
<br />delineated 100-year floodplains for the purpose of regulating land
<br />use; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, CH2M Hill, Inc., under contract to the Urban Drainage
<br />and Flood Control District, Jefferson County and Arapahoe County,
<br />completed a floodplain information report entitled "Major
<br />Drainageway Planning, Volumes 1 & 2, S.J.C.D. (North) - Basin 6100,
<br />North Tributary to S.J.C.D. (South) - Basin 6200, Direct Flow Basin
<br />6100.5, Downstream Reach (KieV/it Area) of Main. Branch S.J.C.D.
<br />(South) - Basin 6200" in July 1976; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the U.S. Army corps of Engineers, under contract to
<br />the Federal Insurance Admini~tration, completed a floodplain
<br />information report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Town of
<br />Columbine Valley, Colorado, Arapahoe County (not designated),
<br />Color:ado" in December 1977;
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, URS Company, undet' contract to the Urban Drainage and
<br />Flood Control District, the City and County of Denver, the Town of
<br />Columbine Valley, Jefferson County and Arapahoe County, completed
<br />a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Hazard Area
<br />Delineation, Dutch Creek, Lilley Gulch, Coon Creek, & Three Lakes
<br />Tributary, Jefferson County, Arapahoe County, Town of Columbine
<br />Valley, City and County of Denver, Colorado" in May 1978; and
