I. The following paragraph shall replace Paragraph 4, CONSTRUCTION PHASE
SERV ICES:

4. CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES
MEC shall provide construction r~~5e servlc~s for the Phase
construction consistin9 of site visits, observation of construction and
administration of the construction contract. The following paragraphs
describe the services to be provided.

A. General Administration of Construc 'on Contract. MEC shall
consult with and advise ENTlTlES and act as ENTlTlES'
representative during this project. The extent and limitations of
the duties, responsibilities and authority of MEC as defined her'ein
shall not be modified, except as MEC may otherwise agree in
writing. All of ENTITIES' instructions to Contractorls) will be
issued through ~EC who will have authority to act on behalf of
ENTl TY .

B. Visits to Site and Obser'vation of Construction. In connection
with observations of the work of Contractorls) while it is in
progress:
1) MEC shall make visits to the site at intervals appropriate
to the various stages of const.ructlon as MEC deems necessary in
order to observe the progress and quality o. the various
aspects of Contractods)' work. In addition, MEC shall provide
the services of a Resident Project Representative land
assistants as agreed) at the site to assist ~EC and to provide
more continuous observation of such work. Based on Information
obtained during such visits and on such observations, MEC shall
endeavor to determi ne in general if such work is proceedi ng In
accordance with the Project Contract Documents and MEC shall
keep ENTITIES informed 1f the progress of the work.

wi 11 be MEC's agent or employee and under MEC's supervision.
