<br />A.'t:NO~LH NO.2 <br /> <br />Agreement Name: Design of Levee Improvements Along the Rio Grande at <br />Alamosa, Colorado, Phase <br />Date of Agreement: January 13, 1986 <br />Date of Last Amendment: <br />Date of Current Amendment: <br />Reason for Amendment: Add Construction Phase Services Responsibilities for <br />Phase I <br /> <br />I. The following paragraph shall replace Paragraph 4, CONSTRUCTION PHASE <br />SERV ICES: <br /> <br />4. CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES <br />MEC shall provide construction r~~5e servlc~s for the Phase <br />construction consistin9 of site visits, observation of construction and <br />administration of the construction contract. The following paragraphs <br />describe the services to be provided. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />A. General Administration of Construc 'on Contract. MEC shall <br />consult with and advise ENTlTlES and act as ENTlTlES' <br />representative during this project. The extent and limitations of <br />the duties, responsibilities and authority of MEC as defined her'ein <br />shall not be modified, except as MEC may otherwise agree in <br />writing. All of ENTITIES' instructions to Contractorls) will be <br />issued through ~EC who will have authority to act on behalf of <br />ENTl TY . <br /> <br />B. Visits to Site and Obser'vation of Construction. In connection <br />with observations of the work of Contractorls) while it is in <br />progress: <br />1) MEC shall make visits to the site at intervals appropriate <br />to the various stages of const.ructlon as MEC deems necessary in <br />order to observe the progress and quality o. the various <br />aspects of Contractods)' work. In addition, MEC shall provide <br />the services of a Resident Project Representative land <br />assistants as agreed) at the site to assist ~EC and to provide <br />more continuous observation of such work. Based on Information <br />obtained during such visits and on such observations, MEC shall <br />endeavor to determi ne in general if such work is proceedi ng In <br />accordance with the Project Contract Documents and MEC shall <br />keep ENTITIES informed 1f the progress of the work. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />2) The Resident Project Representative land any assistants) <br />wi 11 be MEC's agent or employee and under MEC's supervision. <br />The Resident Project Representative is designated in Exhibit A. <br />
