datedSepternber, 1976, has been prepared by the Uriited States Army
Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District, at the request of the:

WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain
data and informatibnfor the storm and floodwater runoff channels
or basins of,thestudy area; and

WHEREAS, the Board 'of County Commissioners

WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106 (1), Colorado Revised Statute's
1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in
the preventi(:m of floods and flood damages therefrom: and'

WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, 'Colorado
Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of ,
local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses~
on or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only
after design<l.tion and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation
Board; and ' "

WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (cl, Colorado Revised
'Statutes 1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to;

WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report
and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water conservation Board
that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those ,areas

described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in 'said
report;
