Box 239 <br />Gunnison, Colorado 81230 <br /> <br /> <br />1982 <br /> <br /> <br />Dear Mayor Decker: <br /> <br />The Federal Elnergency Management Agency advised you on Novanber 16, 1982 <br />that base (lOG-year) flood elevations within the City of Gunnison <br />were finalized as the result of a Flood Insurance Study conducted for <br />your coornunity. The letter also stated that as a condition of continued <br />participation in the National Fl00d Insurance Program (NFIP), it is <br />necessary for your coornunity to adopt a Floodplain Management Ordinance <br />fulfilling the min:imum standards established in Section 60.3 of the NFIP <br />Regulations by May 16, 1983. <br /> <br />This letter is to offer our assistance to your coornunity in developing <br />an acceptable Floodplain Management Ordinance. We have !lDdel Floodplain <br />Management Ordinances available that fulfill NFIP requirements. <br /> <br />Thank you for your interest in the Regular Phase of the National Flood <br />Insurance Program.
