<br />.FPR 240 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />September 6, 1985 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Town of <br />Hotchkiss, Colorado, Delta Coun~y," which includes floodplain <br />information and data for the Nort~ Fork of the Gunnison River and <br />Short Draw, dated July 3, 1985, has been prepared by MSM <br />Consultants, Inc., under contract with the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the stor~ and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Hotchk:iss has requested the Colorado <br />Water Conserva.tion Board to designate and approve the floodplain <br />areas as set forth in the aforesai4 report: and <br /> <br />) <br />-' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />requires the <br />prevention of <br /> <br />Section 37-60-106(1),. Colorado Revised Statutes, <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the <br />floods and flood dam~ges therefrom: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 ~nd 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conserva.tion Board: <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(l)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, <br />directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make <br />such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the.staff of the Board has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those <br /> <br />128 <br />res/240 <br />
