This improvement project
constructed a 100-year capacity channel designed to FEMA
criteria, Construction of this project was completed in the
fall of 1988. As-built topographic mapping has been prepared
of the completed project at a scale of 1-inch equals 50 feet
with a 1-foot contour interval. The mapping has a flight
date of December 5, 1988 and is prepared according to
national mapping standards. The hydraulic analysis uses this
mapping and as-built field surveyed cross sections to define
the floodplain and floodway boundaries.

The existing FIRM for Boulder was prepared utilizing the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers HEC-2 Program.

The enclosed report defines the 100-year floodplain and
floodway for Skunk Creek by detailed methods according to the
requirements stipulated in the FEMA pUblication entitled,
"Appeals, Revisions and Amendments to Flood Insurance Maps, A
Guide for Community Officials", dated September, 1985. Our
report includes water surface profile information for the
10-, 50-, 100- and 500-year events.

2995 Centergreen Court South - Suite C + Boulder, Colorado 80301 -5421 + (303) 440-3439 + Fax 440-3835

WATER

RESOURCE

CONSULTANTS
