Colorado . <br />Because of the potential flood damages, detailed flood hazard studies <br />Ilavebeen recognized as an essential item in guiding the use of flood <br />plains. The purpose of this report is to provide ildequate mapping and <br />data for implementing flood pli1in management programs. <br />Included in the report is information on past floods, the potential <br />for future floods, flooded area maps, water surface profiles, selected <br />cross sections, peak discharge data, and recomrnendations for red ueing <br />potential flood damages. <br />The Soil Conservation $ervice conducted the technical studies and <br />prepared the report.
