<br />FPR 192 / <br /> <br />, <br />I <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Cent~nnial Building <br />1313 Sher~anStreet <br />Denver, Col~rado 80203 <br /> <br />August 16, 1982 <br /> <br />RES 0 L U'T I ON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the U.S. Army C"rps of Engineers, Kansas, City <br />District, has previously complet~ a report enti tledQFlood Plain <br />Information, North Fork RepubliCan River, Wray, Colorado,'~ dated <br />June, 1969, which contains the ell:: isting floodplain information on <br />a portion of the North Fork of Ule Republican River ; and ' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Wat,er Conservation Board, as requested <br />by the TownCouncil,ofWray, CQlorado,byResolution Number ,6, <br />adopted January 14, 1970, approved and designated the floodplain <br />d<:scribed in said report ; and ' , <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a, new report ent:i tIed "Flood Plain Information <br />Report, North- Fork' Republican River, Town of 'Wray and Yuma <br />County, Colorado," dated NovembeJ::, 1981, has been prepared by the <br />U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District; and ' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report-- de-scribes an<f- outlines- the <br />floodplain data and informat,iol'\ for the storm and floodwater <br />runoff channels or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Wray and the Board of County' <br />Commissioners of Yuma County have requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas <br />as set forth in the November, 1981, Corps report; and <br /> <br />WlfEREAS, <br />1973, requires <br />the prevention <br /> <br />Sectio_n ,37-6Q-l 0& ( 1), Colorado ReviSed Statutes <br />the Colorado Water,Conse'rvationf!oifrd.nt:o-assist in <br />of floods and 'flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that s~ch, legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land' uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater r~noffchannel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and' <br />
