Wastewater treatment plants in the South Platte River corridor contribute
both a river base flow and pollutants. Pollutants need dilution water.
The four plants listed in Table 9 will be increased in capacity over the
years as the population grows. It is uncertain whether or not the quality
of the effluent will improve in the future, this being dependent upon state
and federal water pollution control regulations.
