We,
therefore, instructed Merrick & Company to fly the area and
provide us with up-to-date aerial photos. Merrick & Company
flew the entire project on August 16, 1973, and at the present
time we 'are working with these aerial photographs to accomplish
the necessary planning.

I have spent the last four days, namely August 25 to
28, in the Marble area reviewing problems, proposed new con-
struction and construction in progress. I have made an exten-
sive review of the proposed new construction for this season
and the construction in progress and find that the water bars
on the ski slopes and the interceptor ditches from the Marble
Village Inn and the Schindel Haus have been staked according
to our instructions and are being constructed in a quality
manner.

I believe that the two interceptor ditches, as pro-
pos~d by this firm and also proposed by William P. Rogers of'
the Colorado Geological Survey office, will solve many problems
of the village area.

The comprehensive drainage study for Mt. Daly, east
of Carbonate Creek, is in progress and will be completed some
time during the week of September 3. This drainage study will
give exact locations of the interceptor ditches serving the
village, area, qswell as all existing and proposed culverts
required on the roads on Mt. Daly and the culverts proposed

__ } ___.._~,,~.. I _~..,............~_....,....." , ............ ~ .....................
