<br />Proiect IMPACT: The goal of the FEMA Project Impact
<br />is to build disaster resistant communitie", At the Project
<br />Impact Summ~ held in Washington, D,C:" in December
<br />1998, two Colorado counties (Clear Creek and Morgan
<br />Counties) were designated as Project Impact communi-
<br />ties for FY99, The City of Fort Collins received the
<br />FEMA Project Impact funding for 1998, In Colorado for
<br />the year 2000, the Project Impact commun~ies are the
<br />San Luis Valley and the City of De~a/D"lta County, Lo-
<br />cal mentors in Colorado commun~ies will provide lead-
<br />ership to other communities,

<br />
<br />HMGP Projects DR-1186-cO:
<br />
<br />1, Fort Collins: Has completed the Stream Gauge/
<br />Warning system, The flood proofin~1 grant program
<br />is still in progress.
<br />
<br />2, Sterlina/Loaan County: A fiood control project
<br />has received approval.
<br />
<br />3, Canon City: This project includes debris detention
<br />basin construction.
<br />
<br />4, Wiley/Prowers County: This is a bridge replace-
<br />ment project and has been approved,
<br />
<br />5, Larimer County: Construction has started on a
<br />drainage/detention system in the W',st Vine area,
<br />

<br />HMGP Projects DR-1276-cO:
<br />
<br />1, The Notice of Interest (NOI) was mailed by Colo-
<br />rado to local governments on June 25th 1999,
<br />
<br />2, Fifteen NOls were returned by the deadline date of
<br />July 16th, 1999,
<br />
<br />3, In September 1999, the State Hazard M~igation
<br />Team convened and adopted HMGP project
<br />evaluation criteria.
<br />
<br />4, The HMGP subcommittee convened to review and
<br />prioritize the eligible projects,
<br />
<br />5 In October of 1999, Governor Owens approved the
<br />subcommittee's recommendations.
<br />
<br />6, The following are proposed project" under HMGP,
<br />As HMGP and "Unmet Needs" (see below)
<br />money becomes available, project' will be funded
