<br />1. Cross Sections. All field-surveyed and digitized cross sections shall meet <br />the following vertical tolerance as related to true elevations: <br /> <br />I. All spot elevation points shall be within:t 0.5'. <br /> <br />2. The horizontal position of the cross-section data points shall be <br />referenced in such a manner that their location can be reestablished <br />within:t 5.0'. <br /> <br />3. The cross-section alignment shall be shown on finished mylar <br />maps by a 0.008" scribed or inked line with a dot at the terminal <br />points. The respective horizontal coordinate values shall be also be <br />given on the map. <br /> <br />4. Exhibit I prescribes the procedure for obtaining cross-section data. <br /> <br />5. The cross section data shall be presented in the HEC-2 format on a <br />3 1/2 HD disk and on a tabular hard copy. <br /> <br />M. Map Type, The CWCB will specify whether the final maps will be line <br />maps showing contours and topographic features or maps showing <br />contours with a photographic background. <br /> <br />N. Photo~r&1)hic-Background M&1)s. When photographic-background <br />mapping is specified, the maps shall be developed by either conventional <br />rectification methods or by orthogonal projection (orthophoto). <br /> <br />I. General All photographic maps shall be clear and free from <br />chemicals, stains, blemishes, uneven spots, air bells, light fog, oil <br />streaks, creases, scratches, and other defects which would interfere <br />with their use or in any way decrease their usefulness. The final <br />maps shall be on material capable of being inked, erased, and <br />reinked on either side. The maps shall be screened positives on 4 <br />mil mylar base material using DuPont Cronaflex or an approved <br />equivalent. A screen density of 13 3 lines per inch shall be used for <br />the final scale of the map produced. If 2 scales are produced, each <br />scale final positive shall be 133 lines per inch. Variance in tone <br />and/or contrast between splice lines of photo negatives shall not be <br />objectionably noticeable to the eye. More than 4 tone variances <br />per final mylar map shall be considered unacceptable. At the <br />printing, scale, the contour lines, names, and lettering for the title <br />shall be of such size that, when photographic prints of the photo <br />map are made to the size that when photographic prints of the <br />photo map are made to the size and scale required, individual <br />
