6.0 OTHER STUDIES

In 1976, F. M. Fox and Associates, Inc., when conducting a study for the
proposed tailings pond on the east side of the Town of Silverton (Refer-
ence 10), estimated a IOO-year flood discharge at the site to be 3450
cubic feet per second, which agrees well with the discharge (3910 cubic
feet per second) reported in this study. Although a slight difference is
noted, it is believed that this study is more accurate, considering the
method of analysis.

This study is authoritative for the purposes of the National Flood Insur-
ance Program; data presented herein either supersede or are compatible
with all previous determinations.
