A <br />second housing development is under construction in the vicinity of <br />stream mile 8.4, apparently to be accessible to the International <br />Business MaChine Corporation pldnt located one miie south of this <br />drea. New homes are also being constructed near the upstream end of <br />tll<) study reOlch in the vicinity of Aliens Lake. <br />Indications are that the Lett-Hand Creek area wiil be In <br />damandforcontinuedurbanlzation. ThepopuiationsofLongmontand <br />Boulder have increased by 55 and 191 percent respectively in the <br />twentyyearperiodslncel94Q. These communities will utilize a con- <br />slderable amount of land with tj""lr growth as indlcatad by the popul- <br />ationprojectlonsshown in Table I.
