<br />July 29, 1989 <br /> <br />July 29, 1989 <br /> <br />July 29, 1989 <br /> <br />Doughspoon Creek north of Delta <br />Negro Creek north of Delta <br /> <br />A county bridge or culvert in the "dobies" <br />washed out completely on Negro Creek closing <br />the road between Delta and Eckert. The depth <br />of scour under the bridge was 12 feet. <br />Runoff washed over the road at a culvert on <br />Doughspoon Creek and did some damage. <br /> <br />Souroes: Robert Watson, County Comissioner <br />Delta County Independent, 8/2/89, p. l4 <br /> <br />Unnamed Gullies tributary to the Roaring <br />Fork River at Phillips Curves west of Aspen <br /> <br />Two mudflows at 2:48 pm near milemarker 29 on <br />Highway 82 a few miles south of Old Snowmass <br />blocked traffic for over four hours. Both <br />flows had variable widths and depths. The <br />largest slide at one point was about 6 feet <br />deep and 50 feet wide.
