<br />July 20,1990 <br /> <br />Dry Creek at Littleton <br /> <br />1.5 inches of rain fell in 30 minutes over Littleton causing <br />Dry Creek to flood its banks. Damage included curbside, <br />sidewalks, popped manhole covers, stalled cars and flooded <br />intersections. The flooding was at its peak between 3:00 <br />and 3:30 p.m. Flood water depths were estimated between <br />2.5 to 3 feet. <br /> <br />Source: <br /> <br />Denver Post, 07/21/90 <br /> <br />July 20, 1990 <br /> <br />Local Drainage in Arapahoe County <br /> <br />2.5 feet of fast moving water flooded streets in the area of <br />Panama Drive to Southglenn after severe rains fell above <br />Littleton. Water was entering the foundations of homes <br />and causing damage to the sidewalks. The water was <br />stopped by the Highland Canal. <br /> <br />Source: <br /> <br />Denver Post, 07/21/90 <br /> <br />July 24, 1990 <br /> <br />North Fork of Long Creek in Las Animas County <br /> <br />A bridge was washed out in Las Animas County near <br />Trinidad when an unrecorded amount of rain fell causing <br />flooding of the North Fork of Long Creek. For a little over <br />an hour, water flowed one foot deep over a 200 foot length <br />of roadway.
